Where have you guys been :)
I am a php developer who is familiar with smarty. I have painstakingly put up with Drupal for far too long. When I found this CMS, I was overjoyed. It is exactly how I would have written a CMS - with a clear separation between presentation and data and enough flexibility to do what you need to do. I am anxiously awaiting version 2.0 and am willing to help out, as I cannot recommend Drupal any longer (you have to "mimic" hierarchy ). Any info on the forthcoming release - and where can i contribute?

My idea:
Learn how to use a couple of modules (my favorite is quizzard since it makes use of quite some variations of coding). You can make your self comfortable with the way coding is done (see also the wiki pages on development). You may have prepared one or more modules in drupal. Maybe you can try to move them in CMSMS style. Since the more modules the more attractions from others and to my idea CMSMS will grow the better.
For the rest: welcome on board.
