Why is a post invalid the first time one tries to sumit it, but not the next time? Anyone figure this one out?

As I've reported elsewhere, there are other issues with the forum structure that does not work with industry-standard web browsers.

Also, sometimes the forum edit window does not recognize that text has been entered and it will not continue.

These are useability issues that are annoying and not explained. One does not know what to do, why things happened and if it is something the user is supposed to do something about.
