how to display text when no items found in productmanager

Hi,
I'm running CMSMS with products 2.18.4 installed.
All works fine. But i'm having the following problem:
I've got this categorie which I like to display at all times, even if it's empty. In the last case I'd like to place a text like: momentarily there are no products in this categorie.
It seems however, that the summarytemplate is not being rendered when there are no products.
Does anybody know a workaround for this? Thanks in advance,
