I am using CGFeedMaker and when viewing the RSS feed it only display the latest article. I have used this on a number of other sites without this issue. I have tried installing it via xml and sftp upload but no difference. I am using the standard news template and my news articles are all active.

There is also an error in the syntax which stops the content being shown if the news summary field is empty

Change

{if isset($entry->summary)}

to

{if $entry->summary}

CMSMS 1.8.2
CGFeedMaker 1.0.11

You'll need to post more information.

i.e.
-- Your CGFM template
-- How you are calling CGFM

Also, I am not entirely sure {if $entry->summary} is the exact syntax you are looking for.

Could try {if $entry->summary != ""}

Hi Thanks for replying.

This is a standard out of the box install of feedmaker so in the head is the code

{CGFeedMaker action='autodiscovery' feed='news'}

which uses the default news template in CGFeedmaker. There are a number of news stories all current i.e. not expired.

If I in a page I enter {news} then all the news articles show so it is an issue with CGFeedmaker

Re the syntax what have put is correct but that is not related to only one RSS article showing in the feed. This is for the feedmaker template otherwise if the summary field is empty then the description which is supposed to be the conditional other does not show.

Do you have a link to the site/feed? I just tried with default 1.8.2 with a couple test News Articles and default CGFM 1.0.11 with no issues.

I see what you mean now with the isset(). Weird that it doesn't work, but your solution does work (probably cleaner than my $entry->summary != "")

Honestly beats me.

Do you have a link to the page with {news} on it?  It is just {news} right you aren't calling any special categories and such?

Try putting {$items|print_r} in your template to see what's available. For some reason it looks as if the call for news is returning only one entry. Beyond this, it would take some digging to locate it.

All that is doing is just showing the contents of that one entry which like you said it is only showing one entry but the call to the news module if I enter into a page works as it should. In the CGfeedmaker bug reports there is one which mentions about the dot in the feed url not being added so I included that fix otherwise the feed doesn't work at all.

I added {get_template_vars} and you can see all the other news articles which are assigned to junk.

I solved it. It was because of which summary news template was assigned as the default.

Thanks for your input much appreciated.

Absolutely... I had a sneaking suspicion it wasn't CGFeedMaker... just had to track it down.
