Cant Install Latest Version of CMS [SOLVED]

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Cant Install Latest Version of CMS [SOLVED]

Post by Johnnybucks »

Hello,

I can't seem to install the latest version of CMS on my website. When I upload the files to any directory, I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/18/d301590182/htdocs/new/index.php on line 80

See for yourself:

Not sure what to do.

Thank you in advance

You might want to download CMSMS again. Extract it again and after uploading the files to the hosting server check whether it's still unchanged.

Compare file size, or open the file from remote location.

I guess the file index.php (and possibly other files) got corrupted somewhere in the process.

Thank you. It was the PHP version. 1and1 defaults to 4.4.9.
