Morning All,

I have a few sites trapped in the MLE universe. I understand that the developers of the CMSMS produce have issue with it, and I understand the general stance is for people to update asap for security reasons. I can't. Like a number of people I simply can not update and loose several hundred pages of French and English.

My site is huge with over 300 pages, that cross link, share files and whatever else they do.

Has there ever been an effort to raise some money to help get the current MLE up to date (1.10.3)?

The last thing I want to do is insult the CMSMS developers, they have managed to produce a pretty awesome product, but I am stuck and I need to get up todate.

Thank you.

The CmsMle fork of CMSMS is dead... its original maintainer has abandoned it and it is now so far out of date that it would take a major effort by any developer to try to get it to work the same as 1.10.3 does. It would also have to be re-branded, and re-named, setup it's own support forum, distribution mechanisms etc. (and you still wouldn't get any support for it here, it would still be a fork).

Sorry you are stuck, but this was a 'fork' of CMSMS, that was never authorized or endorsed by the dev team, and you took your chances when using it. The dev team's only mistake in this manner was allowing the 'fork' to live on our site for so long.

Also, as announced "again" at the geekmoot. The dev team has no intention of building Mle functionality into the core. I will not go into the reasons again. Mle functionality will continue to be the realm of third party modules.

I had to try Calguy.

Like you I have clients relying me. I looked into the MLE module and it would make the current site unreasonable. I would be up to 600 pages. The control panel is slow enough as it is.

And your right, I trusted the product, not realize there was issue and obviously some tension, so my bad.

I will take my admonishments and let it be.
