Best module for handling a list of data

Post by nmotion »

I'm looking for a module that can do the following:

- Contain data in a list.
- Possible to add a category.
- Edit data in CMS MS admin.
- Display data on front-end.

So, it does not have to be a massive database module but something that can be used to handle a small list of data. Think menu card for restaurant or staff page.

Preferable it should not use pages for items which is why I do not like Cataloger.

I use CMS MS 1.6.

Hope you can help.

I tried the module and it crashed my install when I created my first module.

The admin isn't loading CSS and the module page is blank.

Any suggestions?

I was able to save the install and bring the admin back to normal by removing the "new module" folder in the modules folder.

Why is my newly created module causing the site to crash?

Has this module been tested with 1.6?

Can anyone recommend a more simple module?

CTLModuleMaker and created modules works fine with 1.6. No problem at all.

Maybe you have some permission problem with your new created module.
Some hints:
- Try creating a new module using dna of demo productcatalog
- Try to install demo of productcatalog created with CTLModuleMaker
- Turn on debug and report problem.
