CMSMS 1.6 will be out on the 20th

Our beta cycle is drawing to a close...testing seems to have been successful, and we're all happy.

There are a couple of minor issues, not new but recently detected, that we are still deciding if we will take the risk to fix them.
Most of these issues are minor.. and related to fringe features or language strings. And quite honestly, at this point in the game I would rather leave them for 1.7 than take the risk of introducing an error at the last minute. But I may be convinced otherwise.

So that aside, I'll probably be cutting the 1.6 release on Monday... ready for everybody to use.

I hope you're as excited as we are. The release notes for this version are quite extensive, and there's a little bit in there for everybody.

Oh, btw... we're already making a 'todo list' for a 1.7

Sorry to inform that the release will be some days delayed.
We found some bugs on postgres installs we want to fix before release.

Best bet is that the release is ready for download the 20th june (this year of course).

No rush, but any update?

I have a new project ready to start and just wondering if I should go ahead with the current version or wait for 1.6. I'd love to test out 1.6 on this project.

Sorry for delay!

Its "just around corner" but can't waranty for others in team. They have much to do and it looks like testing is a little slow lately - probably since summer arrives and ppl have their own life ....

Is there a chance to see the 1.6 coming in the next few hours ? I have a website to move to another host, and would like to install a fresh latest version on it, and I have to do it quickly. Thanx for the work, btw.

Just remember the potential time difference between yourself and core developers. I am sure Calguy will release once he has woken up, enjoyed a coffee and got ready to do battle with code.

Upgraded my site, no visible problems I could find. Because there is no diff file, I deleted old version completely. Am I doing this right?
