I am having a Issue with googles cache not using the right path for images.

google has two urls indexed for my site,
index.php?page=
parent/child.html

if using the index.php?page= the images show up using the right path (i suspect cause its a base url to begin with)
if using the parent/child.html images are broken and the path is shown as /parent/uploads

I have the {metadata} tag in the head.

it was working earlier this year, so sometime between 1.5.4 and 1.6.5 it has happened.

I am on 1.6.5

Most likely you had google on your site when it was not using pretty URLs and after it started using them, wait and it will drop one set of them...
