Hello
I have successfully installed version 1.11.13 on my own server and think it is a superb piece of work!!
But my site is for a National Charity with regional groups and I want to create pages for each group and give each of them the ability to change only their pages.
It looks as if this is not possible with the Group Permissions options, which only offer "Modify Any Page".
Am I missing something here?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Frank

Re: Can Permissions to Modify Pages be restricted?
When you edit/create a new content page there's the 'Options' tab.
On that tab you can select 'Additional Editors'. That's a multi-select box (ctrl-click) to select multiple editors/groups.
So you can create groups/users (I'd recommend groups) and do NOT give them 'modify any page' permissions. Then you create a new page and add that group/user as an additional editor.
Please test if that will automatically give him permissions to child pages (I don't know).

Re: Can Permissions to Modify Pages be restricted?
Thanks for your quick response.
I have created a user (sud) and assigned him to group (sud_editor). I have set the group (sud_editor) as an Additional Editor for one page only, and I have left unchecked all the boxes for "sud_editor" in the Group Permissions.
When I log in as User "sud" I am presented with only 2 options
1. CMS/Subitems/Home; View Site; Logout
and
2. My Preferences/Subitems/My Account/Manage Shortcuts
There is no way I can see to edit the page.

Further info.
When I create or edit a page and look at the Options tab, all editors are shown as Additional Editors and I cannot see any way to delete some of them. This would suggest to me that Additional Editors cannot be assigned to pages as you suggested?

More Further info!
I have tried changing the "owner" of the page - this seems to go some way to doing what I need, except that one of the "owners" has access to his own page and also that of another "owner".
The second "owner" seems to be able to access only his own page.
Are there issues with "owner"?
Note that I edited rather than created the pages to change owner and editor.

Re: Can Permissions to Modify Pages be restricted?
All editors are shown in the additional editors drop down in the Options tab. Only groups/users highlighted have access to edit the page. See screenshot:
Users with "modify any page" permission for their group (in users and groups area) can edit any page regardless of the setting of this dropdown.
Try selecting the user (rather than their group) - this works OK for me.

Thanks very much - that seems to have done the trick.paulbaker wrote: Try selecting the user (rather than their group) - this works OK for me.
One thing I had not realised was that you need to highlight the user/group in the Additional Editors dropdown box.
I have cleared everything and started again following your advice and all seems fine!!
Thanks again.
