MLE and Pretty URLs sometimes giving strange results

I'm having a strange problem with a multilanguage site. Occasionally when switching languages the page URL gets a lot of garbage inserted. For example, the URL http://www.openarmsconsultants.com/fr/t ... toire.html gets transformed to http://www.openarmsconsultants.com/inde ... toire.html . This actually does show the page content, but with the style sheet stripped away so the page just looks like a mess. Hosted Video Albums is installed, but not used on the pages where this is occurring. Clearing the cache stops this temporarily, but then it starts up again.
