My server crashed and died. Three websites with CMSMS of various versions restored to new server.

All is ok except in News Module where the item labels are missing in the admin add/edit screen. This is on all three websites.

Steps I have already taken:
1. Replaced News module from separate backup of same version - no result.

2. Upgraded version to next newer version - no change.

3. Uninstalled News Module and reinstalled - no change.

Frankly I am stumped. Screenshot below.

I would appreciate any advise.

Thanks.
Paul

Have you tried emptying your site's cache?

Also, could it be a PHP version incompatability since your on a 'New' server? WHat ifo do you get in Site Admin > System Information under PHP Information?

Oliver:
Thanks for your suggestions.

The CMS was moved "as is" from a server with 4.? PHP to a new server that has the "latest" 5.4 php on it. In order to correct all the paths in the config file, I did a reinstall of the existing version.

This site had 1.5.4 CMSMS and I upgraded it to 1.6. Will CMSMS version 1.6 run on PHP 5+? At what point did CMSMS start requiring 5+ PHP?

I am ok with doing the multiple upgrades to current if that will fix this. This site is old (2009) and the client does not maintain them, so I am not looking to invest a significant amount of time if possible. The safest way to upgrade CMSMS is each version at a time and I have a LONG way to go to get current.

I also uninstalled TinyMCE and reinstalled - not change and the News module is the only broken area.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
Paul

Most likely you will need to upgrade to at least 1.9.4.3...
