What I would like to have is a functionality which allows you to manage downloads per page.
It would be nice to have a download manager included in the "Edit Content" page in CMSMS. Or only include it when you have a {tag} in your template. I think this is to much to aske for, but I posted this in the "Feature ideas" forum.

It prolly can be done with the Uploads modules but this wouldn't be user-friendly. You would have to create a category/directory for every page, set the rights if nescecary, and include the module manualy in every page. No problem for me but the cmsms i'm preparing need to be used by a client with no skills of doing such things.

Maybe i'm asking to much but i hope someone has a solution for this, or can point me in the right direction.
I'm not much of a developer who can build his own modules, but making modifications isn't a problem in most cases.

Thanks in advance!

PS. I noticed recently a new module called "Download Manager" started it's development. There is no release yet, but i'm eager to find out what it will bring us.

CMSMS 1.4.1 "Spring Garden"
Uploads module 1.3.1

sn3p,

Although your topic is not the newest, I ran into it during a search for something else. Is it solved for you?
Do you want to set a parameter that states that only for example 4 downloads may be done?
Or is it that you want to allow a front end user to upload from his/her local pc material onto a server that runs CMSMS?

Maybe you can give an example to make things clear.
