CGCalendar has only the current month and no navigation

I have been unable to resolve this on my own and need some help, please. I hope it is really simple and I am just missing something.

After I upgraded to 2.1.4 and CGCalendar to 2.1.4.1, the calendar on the web page lost the navigation arrows/buttons that allow looking forward or backward during the year. The "Calguys Calendar" (under Content on the Admin Console) displays and works correctly. Events can be added or deleted, but only the current month (June) is displayed on the web page. The links work.

I have {cms_jquery} and {cgjs_render} in the page header, and {cms_module module="CGCalendar"} in the content block. I copied all of the CGCalendar templates and made my copies the defaults in the main design. The calendar settings are for two years previous and two years in the future. Everything else is generic.
