error installing CGSimpleSmarty

Hi,
I'm trying to install CGSimpleSmart 1.7.2. but get this message:

/home/makingas/public_html/modules/CGSimpleSmarty/CGSimpleSmarty.module.php on line 39

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '__DIR__/function.module_action.php'
(include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/makingas/public_html/modules/CGSimpleSmarty/CGSimpleSmarty.module.php on line 39

Anybody an idea how to solve this?

If my hosting company won't upgrade to php version 5.3 can you tell me which versions of NMS and CGSimpleSmarty I need to run op php version 5.2?

I would then consider moving to another hosting company. PHP 5.2 is way too old.

You could try a version with release date before March 2013

Thanks for the help.
My hoster had the option of upgrading to php 5.3 by way of an extra command in the .htaccess. After that I could install the desired modules without problems.
