New module : Cameleon - color palette for your design

Post by dam »

Hello,

I'm creating a new module : Cameleon. Its aim is to allow you to manage in one module and graphically the colors used in your stylesheets.

Beta-testers needed : it's quite stable now...

See XML file attached and admin page capture attached

Nice,

Actually we are thinking about doing something like this for 2.0 but with smarty. But this is very nice for 1.x versions!

Many thanks - great idea.

What do you think - would it be possible to develop Cameleon to a "Stylesheet-GUI" like Golive and Dreamweaver have?

Read an article about such a Typo3 extension and thought - it would be a nice addon for CMSms too.

creating a gui for doing themes is a two bladed sword, its easy but will be limited and getting accessible themes out of it might be *really* hard.

I started something like that and decided it wasnt worth the hassle, if you want to create a theme with a gui use golive and copy paste the html to cmsms and add the necessary tags..

just my 2cents..

I see, you are a GoLive Geek too.

Maybe we should write some Golive extensions to make CMSms template creation easier with it 8).

I check html and css every time in source - but a graphical css interface is a big easement :D.

When I attempt to install this .xml file via the Modules module, I get the following error:

Error parsing XML file. Please make sure you are uploading a .xml file and not a .tar.gz or zip file. (Troubleshooting)

Any ideas?
