We frequently get questions in the forum about 'how do I fix this problem in version x.yy.z of CMS Made simple, where that version is quite old.  Many of these posts are repeated, many of them are outdated, and invalid, and just take up too much time.

We are a small team... vastly outnumbered by the number of users, and immensely outnumbered by the number of installs.  There is no way we can maintain installs of every version of CMS Made Simple, help to reproduce issues, solve them, and then detect if that fix has already occurred in a new version or not.  We just don't have the resources..  Similarly neither do big companies like Microsoft.

Therefore here's the support policy.

We can only realisticly support the current version of CMS Made simple... and perhaps one previous version.  That means if the current stable version is 1.5.2, then we will support that, and perhaps 1.5.1.... but not 1.5.0 or anything earlier.

if your site is running 1.3.0 and the current version is 1.5.2 then you need to upgrade to the latest stable released version... test, make sure everything is working properly and that you are STILL experiencing the problem before reporting a problem.

This all comes down to the fact that we don't have 100 people to do real support, and we don't have the time to try to reproduce every problem.  Therefore, you have to be running a recent version of CMSMS before reporting problems.
