error during upgrade to 1.11.3

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

error during upgrade to 1.11.3

Post by rodeto »

I wanted to extract the file
cmsmadesimple-english-diff-1.11.2-1.11.3.tar
but when I did I got this error: "bin/tar: ./lib/smarty/demo: Cannot open: File exists /bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors".

Can anyone help me out what this is?

This may be an error in our diff file generation process. Generating an empty file to indicate a deleted directory.

The english.tar.gz and the full.tar.gz should work fine.

You can also get past this by deleting the lib/smarty/demo directory in your installation.

I did 6 upgrades just now.
You can ignore the "demo" file

Any idea when the diff packages will be reinstated?

Same questions as above, any news of when the diff packages will be available, or is it a case of a full install?

We won't be putting out diff packages for 1.11.3. Just don't have the time right now.
However We will try to 'fix' the scripts if and when we do a 1.11.4

There were no database changes in 1.11.3 from 1.11.2 or 1.11.1 so you can just grab the full/base package, expand it overtop of your "already backed up" previous installation and then either go through the install/upgrade routine OR remove the install and clear the cache.

Perhaps CTRL F5 on the download page?
