Upgrade of fresh installation (CMSMS 2.x)

Hi,

I have quite many CMSMS sites that I have to upgrade to CMSMS 2.x. There are a few quite small sites (not so much content and so on). Should I prefer in these cases a fresh install of CMSMS 2.x or is the upgraded site (1.12.2 --> 2.x) as technically good as a fresh install?

I've upgraded a few dozen sites and it works great. The only time I've chosen to do a clean install instead is if there is too much clutter of templates and gcb's, old modules, etc. Sometimes rebuilding the site from scratch with template inheritance is just easier.
