Post subject: Bug in 0.11 page type = link function
PostPosted: Wed Dec 07, 2005 7:10 am
Hello QA,

after upgrading from a working 0.9 to 0.11, navigation for some pages doesn't work anymore. More precisely, pages that are defined as type 'link' deliver an empty href (href="") in the bulletmenu.
I am wondering why the 'page alias' field is not there for these pages. It ought to be there, because the title and menu text fields are containing blanks. Could this be the reason?

Any ideas how I can fix my site?

Cheers, Werner

P.S. The 'target' of the link can also be defined, but there is no target field in the href in the bulletmenu either.

Thank you very much for your input.

This has been discovered and fixed in the new 0.11.1 available here
http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/downloads.shtml

you can use the "Upgrade 0.11 to 0.11.1"  this is the changed files only

Cheers

Thank you very much, but...

here is my:

upgrade-from-0.11-to-0.11.1-for-broken-links-howto ;-)
====================================
- untar the diff package to the installation directory.
- open every page that is of 'link' type in /admin/ and save it unmodified.
- now the links work!

Thank you again.

ah yeah... those comment is to untar directly on server...

if you downloaded it to your local computer, simply unzip it to the folder you have with cmsmadsimple (replacing old ones), and reupload the changed files.

second instruction also important:
open every page that is of 'link' type in /admin/ and save it unmodified.

Actually, you shouldn't need to save them again.  Clearing the cache should do the trick.
