Re: Embeding CMSmadesimple into a flash as3 existing site?
I would normally use CSS Menu within CMSms: http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/User_Handbook/Admin_Panel/Layout/Menu_Manager#Implementing_a_Custom_CSS_Menu_into_Your_CMSMS_Design http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/User_Handbook/Admin_Panel/Layout/Menu_Manager#Advanced_CSS_Menu_Styling Hope...

Re: Embeding CMSmadesimple into a flash as3 existing site?
SWF on the main page should not be a problem...SWF nav bar probably wouldn't be that difficult either and would be much easier if the links are hard coded instead of relying on CMSms.

Re: Embeding CMSmadesimple into a flash as3 existing site?
Unfortunately I don't know much about trying to get the XML of the CMS to be pulled in by the swf.
But, with the CMSms framework themed you could always put the Flash animation in CMSms, no?

Re: Embeding CMSmadesimple into a flash as3 existing site?
Hmm, I suppose you could theme CMSms to look like the Flash site and then have specific links in Flash directed to the CMSms pages. Though, looking at the existing site I have to wonder if Flash is even required as it doesn't seem to be leveraged much. Maybe just theme CMSms to look like the Flash d...

Re: Embeding CMSmadesimple into a flash as3 existing site?
Hi DF,
If I understand correctly, I have to wonder if the answer is, instead of "embedding the CMS elements into a pre-existing flash", maybe try the opposite and embed pre-existing flash in to CMS ?

CSSMenu Top & IE7 Problems
I posted this over 1 week ago and continue to observe this problem on various CMSms sites all over the web
CMSms Layout & Design Post
Since a client pointed it out, I know for sure that he observes this problem too.
Does anyone else ?
Is there a fix ?

Yes, like a zip file. Here's some useful links:
Tar Wiki
Upgarding CMSms
CMSms Downloads - Look for appropriate 'diff' file
Good luck

CSSMenu Top & IE7
I have had a strange problem pointed out to me and I wonder if anyone else has observed/solved ??? I just tested with 1.5 beta1 and the problem still exists. To duplicate: 1. Load latest/stable CMSms. 2. Change default theme to CSSMenu top + 2 columns 3. Click Set all Pages Now, periodically, wh...

Re: Pasting HTML code from other web sites
Thanks Augustas!! I was recently trying to paste code for an image map in a Global Content Block and TinyMCE always added , which made the code W3C invalid :( As you suggested, creating a content block with wysiwyg='false' worked P-E-R-F-E-C-T and is much cleaner/easier than turning TinyMCE off as I...

Re: performing backup of cmsmadesimple site
Hi all, mww's overview fairly accurately describes what I would do too!! You may be getting permission denied if you did not give the MySQL user proper permissions for the new database? If you have root access and permission to install a user agent on the server via ssh, ie. not shared hosting, I ca...

Re: Major slowdown issues
Good point Pierre M., I meant to come back and edit this to say, upgrading CMSMS and fixing template to be W3C couldn't hurt either ;) http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thedicetower.com%2Fthedicetower%2Findex.php&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0&...

Re: Major slowdown issues
Yes, that would be the nature of GoDaddy hosting. A quick search reveals: "Found over 1288 domains hosted on the same web server as www.thedicetower.com (64.202.163.156)." So you're sharing the server and MySQL with almost 1300 other domains :( You may wish to try better hosting, we could ...

Re: Video gallery for users possible?
Really there are, at least, 3 different ways to handle video: 1. Embed existing web video in to your site from another site like YouTube etc. 2. Upload and present existing FLV video using Play or FLVPlayer modules and 3. Upload existing video formats, convert to FLV and present FLV video which u...

Re: Video gallery for users possible?
hehe, ya I can appreciate why CMSMS would be your 1st choice! It's also my 1st choice until the requirements prove another CMS 'should' be easier or someone requests a specific setup. This thread makes reference to using the flvplayer module and the uploads module so if your users already have thei...

Re: Video gallery for users possible?
I would normally turn to Drupal and the Media Mover module . Though Joomla also has an interesting Seyret mod too. There are other PHP scripts as well though I can't recall any integrated with CMS MS !? A server with FFMPEG is also important if you plan on transcoding the video to a standard FLV for...
