Re: Announcement: New module iCal

Thanks, Jeremy. I tend to play around with most new modules to see what they do and how well, but should have added that I'm a bit lazy, always hoping the module includes everything needed (even if they're just silly examples!) for testing (read: playing)! Let me know when your new release is availa...

Re: Announcement: New module iCal

Might be a little dense on this... I wanted to see what this module does, but got this error: The wrong or none existing button was used. Please check the admin settings. Tried with both TestSET and BLSBtn - same result. Admin shows no buttons installed. Can you tell me where I can get a button to u...

Re: FrontEndUsers/CustomContent, control page permissions

Absolutely! There are various ways to do this, but probably your best bet is to download and read the pdf file posted on Calguy's site - http://calguy1000.com/downloads.html - and do it his way. If you don't like that particular method, search these forums with keywords "private page" or &...

Re: How to create an upload directory that reflects on page what is in web folder?

Not sure why you're doing all this - why re-invent the wheel when everything you need is already done for you? Let me elaborate: 1. Go to this web page:  http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/files/519 2. Click on the "function.file_list_1.0.2.zip" link to download the zip file to your comp...

Re: How to create an upload directory that reflects on page what is in web folder?

'Filelist' and 'file_list' (which is what we use) are tags, not modules. You install tags by uploading the file(s) to the 'plugins' folder (via your FTP program). You can then access the Help pages for each tag (plugin) by going to Extensions > Tags in your Admin page, then clicking on Help for the ...

Re: Formbuilder: no carriage return in emails

Have you tried inserting '
' wherever you want your carriage return in the email template? Works for me.

Re: Forum modules?

Go to Modules Manager, Available Modules, "F" and toward the bottom, just under FormBuilder, you should see Forum v 0.9.2. It works very nicely.

Re: Best, Well-supported and Recommended Modules for CMS Made Simple

Welcome to CMSMS - you're going to have fun here! I have several CMSMS sites using many modules, and I've played with (tested) many more, so my recommendations are: 1. E-commerce: I use Calguy's modules, including Cart, Products, Orders, etc. Check out his notes at http://calguy1000.com/Blogs/8/60/c...

Re: Form Builder / Form Browser Beta

Oops - should have left well enough alone! The above fix worked for the "File Upload" field by itself, but I got curious and tried it linked to the "Uploads" module ... and got this error: Fatal error: Call to protected method Uploads::AttemptUpload() from context 'fbForm' in C:\...

Re: Form Builder / Form Browser Beta

No, just added the "File Upload" field to the form - no tie-in with the "Uploads Module". It worked so well, didn't see the need to complicate things by integrating with another module!

Re: Form Builder / Form Browser Beta

I've been playing with the new beta (0.6b2) on various sites, both on localhost and production servers. All use PHP 5.2+, all are CMSMS v1.6.6, and all have different installed modules, but almost always these (although versions may vary slightly): Captcha 0.4 CGCalendar 1.2.5 CGExtensions 1.17.6 CG...

Re: Call for volunteers: Themes site

Great idea to re-work the Themes site! For what it's worth, I would suggest the first page provide the following info: 1. Name - just the name and version (if applicable), no extra comments 2. Date - release date 3. Author - name of the author (and perhaps email address for support questions) 4. Sum...
