Re: Error: No Content given!
The most common reason that produces "Error: No Content given" is the absence of "{content}" without quotes in your template
or
if it exists in your template, when you are adding content you are leaving its text area blank

Re: Upgrade Problem
Probably safer on all counts, upgrade in steps and check site after each and yes for non-core modules

More info about your set up is needed but first make sure all files have been uploaded and overwritten properly.

Re: Error: No Content given!
What do you mean by deleted the {...}? From that and the title of the thread at least it seems that your template is missing the {content} tag. You need at least one {content} in your templates.

Re: Upgrade from old version
Best way is likely step by step perhaps like --->1.2.5--->1.3.1--->1.4.1--->1.5.4--->latest skipping versions might be possible but more risky, and all that after following the usual procedure of backing up, etc. Verify the state of your site after each step. Read all the documentation as well http:...

Re: installation problems on PHP 4.0.15
With 4.0.15 I am not sure how many CMSs out there would support it
Two points:
-Earlier versions of CMSms are not supported and are not recommended for various reasons like security issues.
-PHP 4.0.15 dates back to something like 9 years ago and in itself shouldn't be used

Re: Javascript call in page not working?
Try this instead of those two lines in the slideshow css
#slideshow span {display:none}
#wrappper {width:506px; margin:50px auto;}
