I found the extension called: Widgets. This seems to do the trick for a small site like this one.

If I want to have an image next to the menu link, i.e.

House Image: Home
Phone Image: Contact Us

I thought it was under the Content Page > Options > Image

The image I want is showing up in the drop-down list, but not showing up next to the proper menu item.

This gave me a good insight, but not how to figure it out to be responsive.

The only way to get it to work was to set a hard width in pixels for the textarea to make it narrower than I would like on the desktop, so that it would fit when it was viewed on a mobile phone.
