After discussions with Ted, and others, we have potentially decided to release a CMS 1.3 in the next few weeks.

This will just be a stop-gap measure between CMS 1.2.4 and 2.0, and is only done because we just don't have as much time to donate to 2.0 as we would like to.

There won't be many feature improvements in the core (if any).... or default content changes, etc. But there may be a few bug fixes.

What we're aiming at is packaging together a well rounded, well tested release of CMS with new versions of Tiny, FileManager, News and Search modules.... and all the other regular modules.

Just to let you know.

So if you have bugs (and I mean, serious, critical, can't work without it, the package doesn't work... bugs) let us know in the forge.  And please report your bugs (not feature requests) in the appropriate tracker (after all you guys are computer professionals right, you should know how to file bugs in the appropriate spot...) if you can't, then ask.

Okay, so it looks like 1.3 "Cuba" is a go.   We're hoping to release it at about the end of the month.

I've already fixed a few bugs in the core
and have added a new 'Internal Page Link' content type
and it will include new versions of Search, News, FileManager and Tiny

A beta should be out hopefully in a week or so.

So we desperately need people to catch up on translations.  Reneh sent out a notification to all known translators.
We'll also need people to do some testing when the beta comes out.

I'll keep you posted.

I don't think so. Multilang is a 2.0 feature.

I welcome bugfix releases very much. Thank you in advance.
I wonder why you don't call it 1.2.5 ? Nevermind...

Quite simply because it's not a simple 'bugfix' release.

When there are feature enhancements that are relatively significant, we normally try to increase the second digit.

It's a loose standard, but it is a standard.

We intend (hopefully, keep your fingers and toes crossed) that the first (and hopefully only) beta of CMS 1.3 will be released this upcoming weekend.

We need everybody to update their translations, and to test as much as possible when this new release comes out.

There will be a few obvious enhancements (but not many), and numerous tweaks and bugfixes that will make lives alot easier for people.

So start drumming up the interest people!! slap the person next to you and wake him up... we need testers and translators.
