Hello Everyone,

I'm having a little bit of problem with the sitPusher module. Everyrtime I try to test the HTTP connections and paths, I get this error:

HTTP Connection Test: ERROR: Problem reading the url specified

I placed http://leifnicholz.free-site-host.com on the Website URL and the word "junk" in the Absolute path on server field as instructed by Calguy1000 but still, I get the same error. Can somebody please help me?

One more thing, what should be entered in the Database Detail fields? Are those supposed to be the details of the database on my local server or the details of the database on the new server?

well if you can a) ftp to the directory, and b) put an index.html file in there, and c) access it with your web browser then the site is basically setup properly

I couldn't do that, somebody messed up the setup of the site.

took me two days to get them to resolve it

Hi calguy1000,

So I found a new host and made sure that the site is properly setup, you can veiw it here:

http://southcoastilwu.freehostia.com

The FTP Connection has no problems because it returns a success message after the test. The same goes for the mySQL connection because I recieved the details from my host after I created the datebase. But I'm still getting the same annoying error after I click the Test button on the HTTP connection and paths section. Is there anything I'm missing here? Please help.

Thanks,

Leif

Hi,

So I tried using the sitepusher module again today and this time all the tests were successful.. Now for my question.. How long does it usuaslly take for a site to be pushed??  I've pushed my site for almost an hour now but the progress bar of the push seems to be stuck.. It's not moving at all.. And I've noticed that in the push tab, there's a note saying: A new window will not popup. The job will take over this window, and will redirect to a results page upon completion. Mine loaded in a tiny popup window.. could there be anything wrong with my setup?

Attached below is a screenshot of my problem:

The problem may be from using a widows server...

Are you using windows servers on both ends?...

I am using a windows server on my localhost and the remote site's host uses a Debian GNU/Linux system.. Should I find a host that uses a windows system instead?

I've never pushed a site from or to a windows host... but ftp is supposed to be ftp, and mysql is supposed to be mysql, and it should work... it's time for viewing log files etc and seeing what happens.
