I am still unsuccessful with this.  I have tried both 2.2.7 and 2.4.0b3.  In both cases the tool bar does NOT appear on my live host, but it works just fine locally.  I have another site installed on the same hosting server that works just fine.  It is using the same CMSMS version and TinyMCE version (2.2.7) and it's working fine.

Likewise, I went through all of these steps here...
Hi,

The 2.4.0b2 works for me on several servers using windows Firefox 2.0.0.14
No toolbar using windows IE7  Wink
[edit]OK also on Firefox3 Beta5 under ubuntu 8.04rc

but you must valid the update button in  "Advanced" tab
and check advimage + advlink into "Plugins"  tab
Check also if into toolbar settings 2 you have cmslinker, and delete cmsmslink  into "Toolbar"  tab

Still nothing.

Any other updates?

For TinyMCE-beta problems, please test latest beta3. Did some bugfixing for IE7 and got it working on my system at least.
Regards
Morten

Nope, still not working for me..

Ok, well, I got mine working... but you're not going to like how I did it  Shocked

I just deleted EVERYTHING off of the server including the database.  I then did a fresh install of 1.2.4 "Greenland" (which uses TinyMCE 2.2.7... same as cmsms 1.2.3 which I had running before).  Before I did it, I made sure I had my templates, images, MM files, and web site page content ALL BACKED UP and IN ORDER... so I could get the site back to where it was before.  It took a while but was pretty straight-forward.  So now the editor tool bar appears to show up fine.  I'll let you know if that changes.

Can't really tell you what happened as I tried installing and reinstalling the TinyMCE module by itself (including this very version).  But upgrading the entire site seems to have done the trick.

Yep, that's what I did to my other sites too.. It's seems like there's no other way ATM but to do a fresh install to get it working for IE7..

Well I've not done a complete reinstallation on any of my sites and it works like a charm everywhere. But I would really like to nail down what's wrong...
If anybody experience this error and would like to help fixing the problems, I could probably do some debugging on an installation showing the error...

Hello,

I'm having this problem, too.  It was a case where the Tiny MCE worked one day and the next day it was gone.  I have not upgraded anything.  We're using CMS MS version 1.2.3 and the Tiny MCE version is 2.4.0b1.  I'm really not sure where to go from here.

Thanks for any help.

Same thing happened to me (just gone one day).  Look at my posts above (you probably already have.)  Some are having luck by just reinstalling the Tiny MCE.  I had to install the latest version of the entire script!  Bummer I know... but if nothing else works, it may be something to try.

I appreciate your reply.  I feel so silly asking this question....but where do I find the latest version to upload to the site?  And do I just place it in the modules folder through FTP?

Just extract the zip and replace the files in "modules/TinyMCE/"

I'd say re-install the entire script then. (be sure and back up, etc..)
